Cascase Locks Bikeway

Studio Graphique collaborated with Metro Parks, Serving Summit County in the research, writing, design and development of a series of interpretive wayside panels for the Cascade Locks Bike Trail, which runs through downtown Akron. Studio Graphique utilized the OECA Interpretive Plan as a framework to outline the stories for this section of the Ohio & Erie Canal and represent its national and regional significance. This process revealed the tagline and theme “A History of Innovation, In the City of Invention” which shaped the stories of Akron’s industrial significance in history and what it means to the city today.
