Lorain Port Authority

The City of Lorain, like many midwestern rust belt cities that lost their industry, has a unique opportunity to reinvent itself. Working with the Lorain County Port Authority and Arkinetics, Studio Graphique came to understand the past and potential future of this waterfront community. Focusing on the concept of “connections,” Arkinetics is proposing ways to link the main downtown street, Broadway Avenue, to the waterfront park. Studio Graphique’s role was to design an identity with color, life and authentic sense of place while developing a conceptual wayfinding program to help visitors navigate and visually connect this area.
